Last week we told you about Rachel Flotard and her record label, Local 638, teaming up with Tom Douglas for A New York State Of Mind - Seattle Cooks New York, a musical and culinary event with a goal of raising $25,000 for the American Red Cross' Hurricane Sandy relief. The event sold out, at $75 a ticket, and ended up surpassing their goal and raising $30,633.62.
100% of ticket proceeds went to the Red Cross, as did the earnings from a live auction, which included the following items:

Douglas' team also tells me that a man called up to donate all of the Friday nights to his Mariners season passes--seats right behind home plate. That item sold for $1000.
Congrats to Rachel and Tom for all their good work paying off!
