Are you talented/think you're talented? Are you dying to do your thing in front of Howie Mandel, Howard Stern, Nick Cannon, and maybe Carmen Electra? NBC's America's Got Talent is coming to Seattle on November 29 to hold auditions for the eighth season of the show, to air in 2013. Winners of AGT don't exactly become household names (past champions include ventriloquist Terry Fator, opera singer Neal E. Boyd, soul singer Michael Grimm, and jazz singer Landau Eugene Murphy, Jr., none of whom I've ever heard of; however, the famously frumpy/astonishingly gifted/gorgeously voiced/now bazillionaire Susan Boyle was first discovered on the original UK version of the show, Britain's Got Talent), but they do get to be on TV and win a million dollars. (Also, you don't have to be a singer. You could juggle flaming swords or tell jokes or dance or train dogs to do fun tricks, like last season's winners, Olate Dogs).
Here are the pertinent details:
The auditions are on Thursday, November 29 at the Washington State Convention Center downtown at 800 Convention Place from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. You need to pre-register, which you can do right now, and you'll need to fill out some paperwork to bring to your audition. Do it all on AGT's official audition site.
