The New Yorker's Night Life calendar has been spotlighting some Seattle indie bands lately--King Dude a couple weeks ago, The Pharmacy, colorfully. In the September 3 issue, the latest locals to appear are Reverb favorites Naomi Punk, who are touring in support of their latest, The Feeling. From a preview of the band's August 29 show at Brooklyn's Death By Audio:
A night of loft-shaking punk rock, headlined by Naomi Punk, whose sludgy tunes often give off a deranged carnival vibe and stretch into epic-feeling, alternative-flavored rambles.
Naomi Punk will be back in town this weekend, playing my most anticipated show of the week--they're opening for DIIV and Wild Nothing at Neumos this Sunday, September 9 at 8 p.m. It's all ages and tickets are $15.
UPDATE: Dudes just informed me that they'll be playing a show in Austin that day and have had to drop this show. All the more reason to come see them at REVERB Fest!
I also must tout that they're also playing the 2012 REVERB Local Music Festival on Saturday, October 9! Naomi Punk is playing the New York Fashion Academy at 7:30 p.m. Check out the full schedule and buy your wristbands today!
