Mega EvErs Returns With "Ambition", Raps Like It

One of the most endearing things about Mega EvErs' style is the cool confidence with which he spits lines like "The streets is askin' Mega/When you gon' drop your next tape?/Boy, I'm 'bout to fuck the game, I'm 'bout to drop the sex tape", with the same reclined inflection as warnings like "Ridin' with the safety off, 'cause you know it's safety first/Every flow I'm tryin' ta shine/I can't spit no shady verse." That last line is probably also an Eminem shot, which makes me like him even more, and is a also a good example of his multi-layered rhyme approach. He's a clever lyricist who takes as much time synching syllables with drums as he does lacing them with entendre and neighborhood observation. Among the relative newcomers to the local rap scene, he's one of the most promising, and needn't we forget, he's self-made.
