Remember the glory days of 2001, when The Faint's Danse Macabre was on the radio and "Out Of the Races and Onto the Tracks" soundtracked every dance night? Well, "bi-coastal" (half the band's six members live in Seattle, half in NYC) art pop group The The The Thunder's debut, All At Once, recalls those heady days, except Brooklyn now fills in for the Lower East Side and the existence of the Arcade Fire means multi-instrumentation and dramatic singing is de rigueur. But if you miss the glamour of the Strokes-led, early '00s scene, head to the High Dive tonight and party like it's 2001.
The The The Thunder play the High Dive tonight, August 29th, with Brooklyn's She Keeps Bees. Tickets are $6 and things get started at 8 p.m.
