If you're skipping the first day of Block Party tomorrow--or if you still have energy at the end of the night--consider this wallet-friendly option: Vice is throwing a Free Summer Dance Party at Trinity to celebrate the launch of Air, "the new sparkling alcoholic water drink that we think may very well revolutionize partying." (Their words, not mine). The party will feature Phoenix DJ Z-Trip, who's collaborated with everyone from LL Cool J to Beck, and Sinden, who is one-half of the British house duo The Count & Sinden. The event starts at 9 p.m. If you want to go, RSVP.
PS. The last time Z-Trip was in town, he performed at an event that Eric Grandy likened to "a rave with all the vibe of a high-school dance held in a juvenile detention center." Let's hope tonight's party turns out a little more successfully than that.
PPS. Don't forget that if you really, really like Z-Trip, you can sail the high seas with him this winter. Also, if this ship hit an iceberg and sank and you somehow had to power to save only one of these artists, who would it be?
