You Can Be In the Official Music Video For Alex Clare's "Too Close" If You're at the Moore Theatre This Sunday, August 5

If you watch any TV, you'd probably recognize British musician (and Amy Winehouse's ex) Alex Clare's current single "Too Close," from the Microsoft Internet Explorer 9 commercial. "Too Close" is off Clare's Major Lazer-produced debut album The Lateness of the Hour. My personal opinion of the song is: great voice, potentially great melody, all ruined by too much whomp-whomp. I might be in the minority though--the song has spent the last couple of months climbing its way up the iTunes Singles Chart; it's currently sitting pretty at #12.

If you're a fan, clear your schedule for the morning of this Sunday, August 5. Clare is going to be in Seattle to film a concert scene for the official "Too Close" music video at the Moore Theatre, which is being directed by Seattle filmmaker Keith Rivers. If you get up extra early you might even get paid to appear as an extra.

Here's what you do:

  • RSVP to extra.rsvp@gmail.com.
  • The first 200 people to arrive and sign-in will receive $50 cash.
  • You're going there to dance.
  • Avoid clothes with logos and dress like you are attending a real concert.
  • You've got to be over 18 with ID and willing to sign a release to appear on camera.
  • Once you've RSVPed, show up at the Moore on Sunday, August 5 at 10 a.m. to begin check in.

All the details are on Facebook as well.
