It seems everywhere you turn, Erik Blood is recording/producing an awesome new project: when he's not helping mold Shabazz Palaces' expansive sound, he's laying down his newest solo record; recording shoegazey hip hop producer Stres' new EP; or helping goth-tech group Crypts sound mega heavy.

Speaking of which, Crypts released a new song over on Consequence of Sound's website called "Territories". Its synth-washed melody builds over some bassy rumbles until it crests at a number of different points, vocalist Steve Snere's strained yell putting words to the already emotional sound. The track is the most recent peek at their self-titled debut, which is out September 4th on Sargent House. The song is fantastic, and one would expect nothing less from the rest of the track list. Stream "Territories" below, and check a few concert dates (including one on my birthday at Barboza(!)) after the jump.

Crypts 2012 Tour Dates:

09/08 - Vancouver, BC @ Biltmore *

09/09 - Seattle, WA @ Barboza *

09/12 - San Francisco, CA @ Rickshaw Stop *

09/14 - Los Angeles, CA @ The Echo *

* = w/ Chelsea Wolf
