Be sure to read John Roderick's answers to questions submitted by the Mariners' new relief pitcher, Hisashi Iwakuma, in the current issue of Reverb Monthly.
We're not the only music buffs excited about opening day. As you've no doubt noticed from the posts around Reverb, we dedicated the April issue of Reverb Monthly to the start of baseball season. The folks over at RollingStone.com have compiled a list of baseball experts from the choir to chime in on the occasion.

The piece includes Mariner fan/Death Cab frontman Ben Gibbard. When asked for his favorite memory of opening day, Gibbard said: "I don't have a memory per se - but certainly a yearly, false optimism that the Mariners just might figure a way to win the World Series. Still waiting on that one."
