Lake City Poets are exactly what the name indicates: A spoken-word collective from Lake City that's been writing verses since 2004. On this eponymous album, the group touches on subjects as diverse as window washers, clinophobia, and photography. The album's 17 tracks ranging from brief vignettes to full-fledged songs, with most hovering somewhere around the two-minute mark, most of them read by a guy whose voice sounds quite a bit like the Dismemberment Plan's Travis Morrison. It's also unclear whether Lake City Poets is a new release: This blog post from 2009 references the same album, so it looks like the group has been sitting on these songs for a while.
