Attention Musical High School Kids: Grammy Camp at the Vera Project and EMP Is Coming Up on May 4

If you know of any musically inclined high school kids, encourage them to check this out--this year, the Seattle chapter of the Recording Academy is hosting a free, one-day Grammy Camp on Friday, May 4th at the Vera Project and the EMP. Students who are accepted to the camp will get to attend three 90-minute classes that will be taught by Grammy-nominated artists, producers, and other industry professionals:
Classes to choose from will include Promotions, Music Business, Recording and Mixing in the Studio, Sound Checking for Live Performance, Singing/Songwriting, Music for Film/TV/Games, Honing Your Audition Skills, Electronic Music, Home Recording, and many more. All students will have the opportunity to audition for one-on-one critiques with GRAMMY-nominated and winning musicians and songwriters.

Prospective participants will need to fill out an application that consists of some pretty straightforward questions--what kind of music you make, what song inspires you. You can download the application and get all the info you need here. The application deadline is Monday, April 2:

Return applications via email to, or mail directly to The Recording Academy, Pacific Northwest Chapter, 159 Western Ave. W #485, Seattle, WA. 98119, Attn. Caroline Dodge.
