Every Sunday at 3 p.m., KIRO's Josh Kerns and I cozy up at 97.3 to talk about shows, new music, Seattle music, and chat with folks from the national and local music scenes.
In yesterday's episode, Josh and I were joined by our old friend Marco Collins -- the DJ who introduced the world to Beck and grunge, you might remember -- to talk about the Oscars, and some of our favorite music docs and feature films. As I mentioned last week, music flicks begin an end with High Fidelity for me. And as for music docs, I'll go to my grave saying the best is the Black Crowes' Behind the Music episode. (Side note: In the summer of 2000, I met the guy who wrote that episode for VH1. It was awesome.)
We were also joined by Joe Johnson of Knick Knack Records, the up-and-coming Seattle label that recently put out the outstanding Foghorns LP, To the Stars On the Wings of a Pig.
