The Maldives are one of more than a dozen bands to be featured Sunday's Doe Bay Sessions Screening at the Columbia City Theater.
If you're a fan of wan acoustic folk songs being played in idyllic wooded settings, then you won't want to miss Sunday night's screening of The Doe Bay Sessions. Billed as "a collection of intimate outdoor performances," the film features stripped-down live performances from local bands like Pickwick, The Head and the Heart, The Maldives, and Bryan John Appleby, whose contribution to the film can is embedded after the jump. Since tickets for the San Juan Islands festival where the sessions were filmed routinely sell out lightning fast, this is probably the best chance you'll get to view these artists in their natural habitat.
There is a suggested $5 donation for the 8 p.m. screening at the Columbia City Theater. For more information, click here.
