This pic of Katie Kate at SW's Reverb Fest, is on my short list for "Best Live Shot of the Year."
As we have a habit of doing over here, we'll be compiling a list of the best Seattle records of 2011 for our Year In Music issue of Reverb Monthly.

But before we put the finishing touches on our list, we want to give you, our patient readers, a chance to chime in on what the best (oh, wait, is that the same as favorite?) Seattle record of 2011 is. Is it Shabazz Palaces' Black Up? Fleet Foxes' Helplessness Blues? Stag's "Don't Lead With Your Heart"? Or what about Matthew Santos' Massachusetts 2010? No, Santos isn't a Seattleite, but his label, Barsuk, makes its home here, so we'll include it -- and other Seattle-based records -- for consideration as well.

Let us know what you think. And if you haven't read it already, be sure to take a look at John Roderick's list: "Top 10 Reasons I Hate Year-End Top 10 Lists."
