Shabazz Palaces, The Hold Steady Among Acts Added to City Arts Fest, Alongside Previously Announced Acts Like Ryan Adams and Robyn

Ryan Adams plays a City Arts Fest set at Benaroya Hall on Oct. 21.
The second annual City Arts Fest, the massive three-day music and arts festival taking place at a host of venues around Seattle, has added Shabazz Palaces (Triple Door, Oct. 21), The Hold Steady (The Neptune, Oct. 22), and many other acts to a roster that already includes Ryan Adams (Benaroya Hall, Oct. 21), Robyn (The Paramount, Oct. 20), Reverb columnist John Roderick's band The Long Winters (Showbox, Oct. 20), and dozens of others (full musical lineup after the jump).

Like last year's event, City Arts Fest sells wristbands ($69) that are good for access to every show. Space is limited and can reach capacity (getting into headliners like Cat Power didn't seem to be an issue last year, FYI). Single-show tickets with guaranteed entry are available, too.

In addition to music, there are myriad arts and culture acts at the fest that include the So You Think It's Dance? Show (+ Tell) showcase at the Velocity Dance Center, which includes a post-show panel discussion with burlesque darling Waxie Moon, and a pack of local critics that includes SW's Sandi Kurtz.

Between 70+ bands at SW's Reverb Festival on Oct. 8 and dozens of local and national arts at City Arts Fest, Seattle's Rocktober is in fine form yet again.
