Columbia City Theater's had a September 16 show with Brother Bear and Cumulus listed on their website for a while now, along with a surprise guest they've been calling "Jacket Summer," to be revealed on the night of the show. Turns out Jacket Summer couldn't keep the secret to himself. Just minutes ago, Damien Jurado tweeted:

LAST SHOW OF THE YEAR - THIS FRIDAY IN SEATTLE - AT COLUMBIA CITY THEATER - FULL BAND - NEW SONGS - SPACEless than a minute ago via web Favorite Retweet Reply

CCT's Abbey Simmons sent out a follow-up e-mail: "Looks like somebody can't keep a secret . . . Not that we have a problem with that! We're thrilled to announce that the mysterious 'Jacket Summer' is actually Damien Jurado playing with a full band, like you've never seen him before. Jurado debuted the new band and material at Pickathon."

As for Jurado's alias, Simmons told us: "It's a term Damien came up with for the cool summers we've been having locally. He delights in them. Even when it's warm, Damien is often spotted in heavy flannel or a lined corduroy jacket. His outfit appears to be the same, no matter the season. He started a hashtag on Twitter, sometime last year I believe when we were all bitching about the cold summer. It was chosen because if you follow him on Twitter or online, it would be rather obvious who it was."

Tickets to the show--which is this very Friday!--are available for $10 in advance or $12 at the door. Since Jurado says it's his last show of the year, better get your fix while you still can.
