Five days after a stage collapse at the Indiana State Fair killed five people, another stage (this one in Belgium) at another concert (this one the Pukkelpop music festival) has claimed even more lives. Depending on where you end up on the internet, the death toll is somewhere between three and six, with the numbers changing by the minute.
The storm apparently came on suddenly. High winds and hail knocked down the Chateau tent on the festival's main stage moments before Chicago garage-rockers Smith Westerns were set to perform.
"Stage collapsed," read a quickly-erased Tweet on the band's Twitter feed. "max almost got crushed by the tress, I hope pukkelpop has insurance bc all our [stuff] is broke."
