The official Grand Finale of A Drink for the Kids is tonight at the Sunset with a performance by Hot Bodies In Motion, but if you like movies, Capitol Hill, and Eric Grandy, there's another way to show your support for the Vera Project tonight. Grandy, along with co-hosts Jasona Baxter of USF and Leigh Sims of the Vera's Board of Directors and Communications Committee, will be screening movies at the Redwood, starting at 6 p.m. and going all night. Go, and drink strictly Pyramid beer and/or Medoyeff vodka--the proceeds from those brands will go towards the worthy Vera Project.

As for the lineup of musically-themed films, it's been carefully curated by Eric and Jasona, and consists of . . .

Vibrations, in which James Hurley from Twin Peaks gets both his hands severed, becomes an electronic musician who performs at raves in a robot suit, and possibly boinks Christina Applegate:

Thrashin', the '80s skateboard film with a Red Hot Chili Peppers cameo and lots of Devo music that Josh Brolin turned down 21 Jump Street to star in:

And finally, one that I saw in theaters when it first came out 10 years ago--Josie & the Pussycats, that other movie Rachael Leigh Cook was in:

Cinematic classics you can't afford to miss!
