Today Reverb Is Listening to THEESatisfaction's "Do You Have Time"

Released Saturday on Sub Pop's website, the Seattle duo's new track "Do You Have Time" is a smoke-buoyed crooner with the same flat drum-and-bass sounds from their past material that really make their voices pop out of the recording. While the lyrics to, and the concept behind, this ode-to-greenery are nothing groundbreaking ("Without a little green, it's hard to get by/Do you have the time?"), the smooth delivery, stuttering beat, and hip friendliness are what keep us coming back.

The ladies-satisfied have crept to the threshold of the national music conversation--with a relatively quiet signing to Sub Pop, compared to that of associated act Shabazz Palaces--and have the originality of sound to make a sizable mark. Their scheduled early-2012 debut full-length on the Sub Pop imprint could be a big hit, but for now, Stas and Cat are happy enough to "roll it up, roll it up...".
