The elusive Portishead has just announced a North American tour for this fall, and Seattle's on the itinerary. On Sunday, October 23, they'll play WaMu Theater, which is EH, but we're so excited they're coming at all we'll take it--this will be Portishead's first North American tour in over 10 years. Fellow Brits Thought Forms will open. Tickets will be on sale this Friday, July 15 at 10 a.m.; they're $48 plus the usual fees. They'll probably go fast, so make haste.

Portishead, of course, hasn't had a new album since 2008's Third (which was released 11 years after their last album); they've been hinting at a fourth LP for quite some time. While we're waiting, here's the last song the band released, "Chase the Tear," from 2009. Patience, people. Patience.

Here's the full tour itinerary, currently:

October 1 & 2 IBYM, Asbury Park, NJ

October 4 Hammerstein Ballroom NY

October 5 Hammerstein Ballroom, NY

October 7 Jacques Cartier Pier, Montreal

October 9 Sound Academy, Toronto

October 10 Sound Academy, Toronto

October 12 Aragon, Chicago

October 15 Mexico, Corona Festival

October 18 Shrine LA

October 21 Greek, Berkeley, SF

October 23 WaMu, Seattle

October 24 PNE Forum, Vancouver

October 27 1st Bank Center, Denver
