Seattle Theatre Group is doing a killer job of booking shows at the reopened Neptune Theatre, particularly for the upcoming fall season. Yesterday STG announced that two of our favorite female artists will be playing the Neptune this fall--tUnE-yArDs way out on November 20, and, more exciting for me, St. Vincent on October 13, who'll be touring in support of her highly anticipated new album, Strange Mercies, out September 13.
Yesterday STG also added a couple of openers to two previously announced Neptune shows--Ty Segall will open for Stephen Malkmus & the Jicks on October 13, and, in a brilliantly diverse move, Brooklyn hip-hop artist Theophilus London will open for the Friendly Fires on October 19.
I haven't yet been to a show at the Neptune, but this fall is giving me ample opportunity to do so. After the jump, the rest of the theater's fall music lineup so far.
