After 23 years, headlining tours with Snoop Dogg, Matisyahu, and The Offspring, and a triple-platinum LP (1995's self-titled 311), reggae-rock five-piece 311 can add another notch to their bedpost.

The band's 10th studio album, Universal Pulse, hits stores today, and was produced by Bob Rock, who has worked with Metallica, The Offspring, Aerosmith, and Mötley Crüe.

At just eight songs long, the record is 311's shortest to date, and rides shotgun to the new single "Sunset in July"--a feel-good, upbeat, and funky song that perfectly captures the feeling and atmosphere of summer. "Watching you dancing and having the time of your life and it's getting me high," sings vocalist/guitarist Nick Hexum over bumping bass and an optimistic, island-feeling electric guitar.

AOL Music is hosting an online listening party of Universal Pulse, and fans can purchase it for just $7.99 from iTunes and Amazon starting today. 311 will be stopping by Marymoor Amphitheatre on August 26, the last night of their tour with Sublime w/Rome.
