Dark, '80s-leaning synth-pop seems to beall the rage around Reverb of late, and today, new wave aficionados can pick up reworked versions of classic songs from one of the genre's progenitors.
Remixes 2: 81-11, a collection of Depeche Mode remixes, is out today on Mute and features artists such as M83, Röyksopp, Peter Bjorn and John, and Dan the Automator, as well as former band members Vince Clarke and Alan Wilder.
Remixes 2 spans the band's entire career, and is available in both one- and three-disc sets, the latter of which is heavy on older material, including a 1990 remix of "World in My Eyes" and a 1993 Helmet at the Helm remix of "I Feel You." The triple album--which includes three versions of "Personal Jesus"-- seems to cater to hard-core fans, but for everyone else, three songs from the compilation are streaming on the band's Facebook page. Check out one of those "Personal Jesus" remixes after the jump.
