Witch Gardens Records Hip-Hop Jam With Manch Malevolent, Called "G.A.M.E.S."

A few weeks ago, Lynnwood, Wash., rapper Manch Malevolent came to the Comet on 4/20 and watched Witch Gardens' headlining set. After forming an easy bond with WG's Casey Catherwood, Manch decided he wanted to collaborate--yesterday, Witch Gardens transcended genre barriers and recorded a hip-hop track called "G.A.M.E.S." with him.

"I feel like we're the same person in many ways," Catherwood told me of Malevolent. "We have the same positive spirit about things. His energy is very akin to Witch Gardens'."

The song is sweet, sassy, and yes, that is Catherwood rapping in the verse that mentions the infamous Circus Barker saga. Reverb officially declares it the Jam of Summer 2011.
