Gary Numan's Disembodied Head Will Be Joining Battles Onstage at the Croc Tonight

The other day I was listening to Battles' excellent new album Gloss Drop and wondering about how they were going to handle the songs from that album which featured guest vocals--from the likes of Gary Numan and EYE from Boredoms--live. Well, turns out they do it by phoning in the prerecorded vocal tracks--with video! Check out the above clip of them performing the Numan-featuring song "My Machines" in NYC last week. Guest vocals, ghost vocals, or no vocals at all, expect tonight's show to be a total, technically dazzling, relentlessly kinetic blast. (And as Andrew Gospe rightly points out, keep your eye on that high crash.)
