The often-inverted, screen-cutting, high-FPS video for "Acura Integurl" filmed by Dave Wilson is only the latest reason to pay attention to Frank Ocean--an Odd Future affiliate who once wrote songs for Justin Bieber, John Legend, and Brandy under the moniker Christopher "Lonny" Breaux, and who opts for an R&B croon over the collective's notorious "Kill people! Burn shit! Fuck school!" approach. Dropped via his Tumblr page over the weekend, the song it visualizes isn't from his breakout mixtape Nostalgia, Ultra. (which, if you haven't already downloaded, you should definitely do right now), but speculation places it on a yet-undated Def Jam re-release.
Aside from the gorgeous Acura NSX he gets to push through the video, the metamusical track--built on nothing more than a piano line and Ocean's voice--places Lil' Wayne as the middle ground between his girl's affinity for Thom Yorke and Chris Martin and his preference for Three 6 Mafia and UGK. Clocking in under two minutes, the snippet of a song seems poised to deliver a simple story aside from its own beauty: "We're both a long way from home/We got the windows down, the radio's on."
