Record Store Day truly is a blessing sent from above. Deals, deals, more deals, and best of all, the special releases. This year, one of those special releases will be a rare, much sought-after Nirvana EP. Hormoaning was recorded with John Peel on BBC Radio 1 and originally released in 1992--but only on Nirvana's Australian tour. (A Japanese record company briefly released it without permission before getting shut down). So yes, it's rare (you could try your luck at getting an original on eBay if you're down for spending a few hundred dollars).
The EP contains four covers and two Nirvana originals:
"Turnaround" (Devo cover)
"D-7" (The Wipers cover)
"Son of a Gun" (The Vaselines cover)
"Even in His Youth"
"Molly's Lips" (The Vaselines cover)
Want to get your hands on this bad boy? Wake up early on April 16--the re-release is limited to 6,000 runs.
