Ra Ra Riot premiered a new music video today for the bubbly "Too Dramatic," one of the only songs I liked off their second record, last year's The Orchard. The clip was directed by Andrew Thomas Huang, who also did that gorgeous Avi Buffalo video last year. In the video, Ra Ra Riot starts in a bleak, cardboard-looking landscape that looks like that a space set from Star Trek (the original series) and eventually transforms it into a weirder but more colorful place blooming with weird neon blossoms and confetti. Pretty!
We should also note that the band looks very stylish, particularly lead singer Wes Miles in his hip Sherpa sweater and guitarist Milo Bonacci, who is wearing the same cardigan I bought my boyfriend for Christmas. (It's from H&M!) Also, no matter what you think of this video, one fan, as noted in the YouTube comments, has already deemed it
best video ever ! great song played it 300 times on my ipod !
