Stereogum premiered the new Triumph of Lethargy Skinned Alive to Death music video this morning. "The Dirty Street" is a solemn, mournfully intoning song, and the clip is equally dramatic, featuring two arguing lovers. Clyde Peterson--who's made videos for the Thermals, Quasi, and Deerhoof, among others--made "The Dirty Street" using everyone's favorite iPhone app, Hipstamatic.
According to Stereogum, the video is
"a found footage film, recut, projected and rephotographed using the 'Hipstamatic' app for IPhone one frame at a time." The footage comes from "Jealousy" from the 1954 instructional series Marriage For Moderns.
Oh, iPhones. Is there anything you can't do?
"The Dirty Street" can be found on TOLSATD's sixth studio album, Some of Us Are in This Together, which is out now.
