Torchlit "Irish Celebration" Visuals Continue the Hot Streak of Macklemore & Ryan Lewis"/>
When director Stephan Gray--responsible for Grynch's "My Volvo" visuals, among others--talked about filming Macklemore & Ryan Lewis' "Irish Celebration" video in December, he didn't hold back: "That one's kind of a monster." And he didn't lie either.
The video sports Irish of all generations, from gray-haired men sipping their rapped-about pints to the young "freckle-faced hustlers," and watching the rapper wave his Irish flag on First Avenue instantly recalls the emotion of his mid-bill set at the Paramount that blew everyone away. Whether standing atop the bar at Belltown's Lava Lounge or leading the mob scene in Warren G. Magnuson Park, Macklemore looks the part of a man who has already cemented his position as a face of the city.
And after selling out two Showbox dates in record time, the duo added a third show--Feb. 27, with backing from Fresh Espresso, Helladope, and Canary Sing--for which tickets are available now. You don't have to wait and make the same mistake three times in a row.
