Smart money says Wolf Parade will be making a stop at Sasquatch! this year.
All right, so we've known for some time that Foo Fighters will kick off the expanded, four-day Sasquatch! Festival at the Gorge over Memorial Day weekend. In one of our regular notes to Sasquatch! father/booker/founder Adam Zacks, in which we try to trick him into divulging a band or two from the rest of the list, we actually were able to pry out a little information. Zacks tells us they will be announcing the full festival lineup on the evening of Sunday, February 6 at a Sasquatch! launch party at Showbox at the Market.
The lineup for the launch party has yet to be announced, but Zacks says we should get all the details shortly. This will be the second year in a row that the festival has unveiled the lineup at a launch party. Last year's launch at the Crocodile featured performances from Surfer Blood, Atlas Sound, and Fresh Espresso--with only the latter landing a gig at the festival.
Guessing summer festivals' lineups has become a favorite parlor game for Internet trolls, critics, and vitamin D fans alike. Consequence of Sound is keeping track of confirmed and "expected" acts for the festival, complete with evidence to back up their claims that we're going to see Wolf Parade, Twin Shadow, Matt & Kim, and Foster the People at the Gorge this summer.
