Seattle and Portland Are Not Too Cool for Ke$ha, Apparently

If you were planning on buying tickets to Ke$ha's Showbox SoDo concert on February 16, I feel bad for you--first, because you were planning on buying tickets to a Ke$ha concert, and second, because you're too late--it's sold out. So is her show the night before at Portland's Crystal Ballroom. I originally guessed that the hipster Northwest market would shun Ke$ha--the trashiest, least-talented pop star in the Top 40 right now--but apparently I was wrong.

"Both shows [Portland and Seattle] blew out fast," says AEG Live's Chad Queirolo.

That much is obvious, but who's actually going to these shows?

"Kids. Teens," says Queirolo. "And a lot of their moms, it seems from the guest-list requests I have received."

And there you have it.

Showbox SoDo seems to be having a successful season overall, even without Ke$ha. For further reference, these upcoming Showbox SoDo shows are also sold out:

Interpol on January 28

Social Distortion on February 11 and 12 (tickets still available for February 13!)

Godspeed You! Black Emperor on February 17

My Chemical Romance on April 3
