As we reported last week, Andy Kotowicz of Sub Pop Records tragically passed away in a car accident on October 24, leaving behind his wife, their 3-year-old daughter, his parents, grandparents, and scads of friends amongst Seattle's music community. Now Pearl Jam has donated a signed guitar to benefit Kotowicz's family. In a statement via Pearl Jam's Ten Club, the band says:

To help raise proceeds for the Andy Kotowicz Family Foundation, Pearl Jam is auctioning off an autographed Fender Standard Telecaster FSR guitar in Butterscotch. This item was signed by all members of the band on October 30, 2010. Guitar comes with a Fender Telecaster Gig Bag.

The Pearl Jam and Ten Club families send our thoughts and prayers to all those whose lives were touched by Andy Kotowicz during this heartbreaking time.

You can bid on the guitar right now at charitybuzz.com -- the current bid is at $4,750, and the lot won't close until November 23.
