After spending the past couple years with Them Crooked Vultures, Dave Grohl is moving on to new Foo Fighters material. Grohl told BBC that the band has already recorded half of their new record -- their first since 2007's Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace -- in his garage. Says Grohl of the new songs:

Foo Fighter fans are going to freak out because honestly it's awesome... Each song is full on, the whole record is full on.
Grohl is bringing in a couple of old friends for this record -- Butch Vig, who produced Nevermind, will produce, and the album will feature a guest appearance on bass by Krist Novoselic. Promises Grohl:

Basically 2011 you're not gonna be able to get us out of your hair, that's what we're planning. I'm excited.
