Black Whales Perform "Rattle Your Bones" On A Boat + Other Songs with Nautical Videos

Earlier this summer, Black Whales recorded a video for their new single, "Rattle Your Bones," while floating a sailboat near Orcas Island. (Black Whales will release the single on vinyl Nov. 16 on New Canada.) While the Seattle band's boat adventure was relatively tame, plenty of other musicians have made music videos while partying heaviliy on water. The folks over at Three Imaginary Girls called out Duran Duran's "Rio" as their favorite nautical-themed music video; personally, I'm partial to Jay Z's "Big Pimpin" or even the brief yacht scenes from J. Lo's "Jenny From the Block." (Yeah, I totally just went there.)

Black Whales (sans boat) play Columbia City Theater on Nov. 5 with Dan Mangan and Jared Mees & The Grown Children.
