The Passing of Time and Touring Through the Eyes of MSHVB Bassist Jared Price

When I was hanging out with Mt. St. Helens Vietnam Band a few weeks back in preparation for today's feature, we got to talking about touring and the extreme highs and lows that come along with the process. And that was when bassist Jared Price shared with me this story:

"There are some crazy gas stations out there, places where the Snickers bars might be three years old," he said. "We went to a gas station in Wyoming--it's the only one I really remember--and the attendant was smoking. Then when we went back three or four years later, the same attendant was still there... but instead of smoking he had an oxygen tank."

Now feel free to meander over to a much more uplifting story about the band and their young-ward-slash-drumming-prodigy Marshall Verdoes.
