Sol Makes His Music Video Debut With "Dear Friends"

More than a handful of music videos for local hip-hoppers have hit the web in recent days--see J. Pinder, State of the Artist, Eighty4 Fly, Wizdom, and Grynch's legendary "My Volvo"--and its exciting to see Sol jump into the mix with some visuals for the title track from his most recent release, Dear Friends Vol. 2.

Shot by Jon Augustavo and featuring cameos from the song's producer Ill Pill, Grynch, Lace Cadence, and Thig Nat of the Physics, the (mostly) black and white music video is beautiful in its simplicity. Low-key and down-to-earth, the camera follows Sol around his house, the studio, a photoshoot and a show--but best of all, it's as real as the song is, from the cracked screen on his BlackBerry to his Puma hightops.
