The Search For The Best Rock and Roll Flute Solos Of All Time

You know what rocks? Flutes. Specifically, rock flutes. "California Dreamin'" wouldn't be half the classic, instantly recognizable song it is without the grooving flute solo that kicks in at 1:20.

After realizing this, I'm on a search for more rock flute solos. Here are my favorites so far:

-- The Moody Blues, "Dear Diary." Hypnotizing, this one really pipes. (FF to 1:59 for flute solo).

-- Simon & Garfunkel, "So Long, Frank Lloyd Wright." I like to pretend picture Garfunkel on stage playing the flute. (FF to 1:19 for flute solo).

-- Van Morrison, "Moondance." Sexy swingin' flute! (The flute plays throughout the song).

-- The Guess Who, "Undun." I love The Guess Who. Classic, heartfelt flute. (FF to 2:17 for flute solo).

Please feel free to add to my list and/or make me a mix CD of rock flute.
