This has got to be the oddest event I've seen booked in years. Vince Neil and Roger Daltrey, the voices behind Motley Crue and The Who, respectively, are on the bill for Imagine a Cure II, Saturday at Snoqualmie Casino. They'll be joined by drummer Alan White, the guy behind the kit on Lennon's "Imagine", and others, including singer Natasha Bedingfield, and Spike Edney and Jamie Moses of Queen. It looks like all the artists performing will be covering Lennon songs. The casino's website says the evening's proceeds "will save lives by providing breast cancer education, screening, treatment and support for underserved women living in Western Washington."
I've got a call in to the folks at Snoqualmie to find out more about what the plan is, but it sounds like there's every reason to believe that Vince Neil will be covering "Lady Madonna" or "Happiness Is a Warm Gun" tomorrow night. If you have between 75 and 300 extra bucks, you can be there to witness it.
