Video: Sonny Bonoho's Cartoonish "Zig Zag"

Sonny Bonoho, the loudest cuckoo clock in Seattle hip-hop, produced an appropriately odd video for "Zig Zag," off his impressive, if certifiable, solo joint Phonephreak. Featuring Digital Underground's Money B and directed by Christian Hansen, the vid has the cartoonish, happy-go-lucky feel of Cee-Lo's "Gettin' Grown"--only the slick, vibrant color scheme the Gnarls Barkley frontman employed has been muted by Hansen's grainy, Super 8-style cinematography. The technique adds an edge of darkness to Bonoho's ear-to-ear cheese, tongue-in-cheek lyrics, and all around good-natured presence.
