The chilly Gorge nights aren't the only reason Sasquatch! schwag seems to get snatched up in such a hurry. The festival folks always seem to do a good job with their art. They haven't fully embraced the hipster as a Sasquatch yet (at least that I've seen). And they haven't had any fun turning Iron & Wine's Sam Beam into a Sasquatch. But good things come to those who wait, right?
Camp Sasquatch! tried out something new this year. They commissioned local artists to create screen-printed posters for each of the artists--Shabazz Palaces, Ween, The National, etc.--performing at the sold-out festival at the Gorge over Memorial Day Weekend. To show off the wares, they're hosting the Sasquatch! Posters! Exhibition at Vermillion (1508 11th Ave, Seattle WA ), April 28 to May 8, where all the posters will be on display.
The opening gala goes down on Saturday May 1 from 6 to 10 p.m. There won't be posters available for sale, but there will be poster designers with business cards and PayPall accounts on hand.
