The Dead Weather Announces Sophomore Album, Debuts Badass New Video

Jack White and Alison Mosshart gothing it up.
My favorite supergroup The Dead Weather has a new record coming out - Sea Of Cowards will be released around May, and the first single, "Die By The Drop," surfaced today, along with a creepy music video directed by Floria Sigismondi (Sigismondi helmed the White Stripes "Blue Orchid" clip, as well as the new Runaways movie). "Die By The Drop" sticks to the same formula that The Dead Weather introduced with their debut, Horehound - loud, squealing guitars and distortion, and Alison Mosshart's killer raspy screech-singing. The video, unsurprisingly, is dark and Gothic, featuring graveyards, corpse-like makeup, and some hooded cult-like figures who may or may not be the dementors from Harry Potter crossed with the KKK.

Watch the video here, and check out some creepy artwork from Sea Of Cowards after the jump.
