Jack Johnson plays the Gorge on what will certainly be a brisk evening on October 2. He also plays The Amphitheater at Clark County in Ridgefield, WA, outside Portland, on Oct. 3.
It is well documented that the early Gorge shows -- anything before mid-June, which most definitely includes Sasquatch! -- can boast some gorgeous (ha!) weather during the day, that quickly gives way to shivering temps when the sun goes down. Many a sunburned Matt & Kim fans have teetered on the verge of frost bite, which is one reason Sasquatch! schwag has traditionally sold so well. Now comes word that to promote his forthcoming album, To the Sea (June 1), Jack Johnson's playing an Oct. 2 show at the Gorge. I can't remember the last time I saw a Gorge show after Labor Day, but I do think it's safe to say that you'll need to pack a parka along with your hacky sack for this one, bro.
