Pierced Arrows, a Portland trio that is, for all intensive purposes, Dead Moon redux -- Pierced Arrows is Fred and Toody Cole with a new drummer, Kelly Halliburton -- just offered up a new video and mp3 for the song "Paranoia," the first single from their upcoming sophomore release as Pierced Arrows, Descending Shadows (it comes out February 2 on Vice Records). The video, which I've embedded above, is a grainy, low-resolution punk rock homage to what comes off as severe mental illness, and like all of my favorite Fred and Toody jams, would be just perfect for inclusion on a B-zombie movie soundtrack. If you like what you hear, stream or download the song right here. Additionally, the band's playing the Funhouse on Friday, December 11, and while it's safe to say they'll be playing some new material, it's not unusual for the band to play Dead Moon songs, either. Here's hoping.
