In this week's installment, I've been thinking about music as facilitator of a film's descending action (last week, it was a song as plot motivator). There are several stellar examples of this, but the first one that always leaps to my mind is Martin Scorsese's use of Harry Nilsson's epic, bottom-heavy breakdown during, "Jump in the Fire".
