Thinking of Elvis Perkins, Remembering the Video, "Chains, Chains, Chains," Directed By Sean Pecknold

Staring down the release of Elvis Perkins in Dearland's six-song effort, The Doomsday EP I was reminded this morning of the video for Elvis' "Chains Chains Chains", off the band's self-titled record earlier this year. The video is directed by local photogrpaher/videographer/multimedia artist Sean Pecknold, who you may recognize as the brother of the frontman of Seattle indie-rock award-winners Fleet Foxes. It's a dreamy, spacey, and understated video that tempers Perkins' dedication to cramming as many words into a song as possible. Perkins' new, unquestionably wordy EP hits stores next week.
