Karp Documentary Benefits on the West Coast

karp.jpg
As reported here on REVERB back in April, New York-based filmmaker Bill Badgley (guitarist from Bellingham's Federation X) is finishing up a documentary on the late, great band Karp. With notable assistance from Montana-based label Wantage, Olympia's K Records and Calvin Johnson, this project will eventually come to fruition, but they still need a little fiscal assistance.

A series of benefit have been set up along the Portland-to-Seattle corridor, with logical supporters Akimbo holding down philanthropic duties here in Seattle at the Mars Bar on October 22, and former Unwound frontman Vern Rumsey and Johnson's project the Hive Dwellers on the bill at the Northern in Olympia on October 24. Clips from the film will be shown at each show, and Badgley has also posted an updated trailer, which you can view after the jump.
