The Blue Scholars Will Never Go Away

They forge an unprecedented partnership with a record label and a coffee roaster, they debut a new music video for "HI-808," they release their EP OOF!, they take fans on a wild romp through Seattle promoting their new project... The real question is whether the Blue Scholars will ever stop making noteworthy accomplishments that beg e-notice. And the answer, today, is no: in the aforementioned partnership with Caffe Vita and Duck Down Records, the Scholars have just released Bayani Redux, a souped-up version of the album that dropped in 2007.

In addition to a snazzy new cover and the tracks that were originally released on Bayani, the re-release includes the songs "27" and "Southbound" (which was previously only available for electronic download) and the never-released "Dawn Song," which features Canadian-based emcee Shad and premiered this past Sunday on KUBE's Sunday Night Sound Session. The album hit stores today and should be available at your favorite independent local retailer.
