One of the tracks I stumbled upon by accident today is the song, "Act of Forgiveness" by Seattle's own Oleta Adams. Although she spent the bulk of her growing up years in Yakima, she's a Seattle native, and possibly one of the finest R&B/gospel singers this state has ever produced. I reviewed her latest album, Let's Stay Here when it came out a couple of months ago, and undoubtedly, the best song on the album is the track below. It's full of that gospel grit with playful church organs and an uplifting, Sunday morning type of feeling to it. It feels appropriate to post going into this weekend. If you're a believer in the after-life, or the whole archaic heaven or hell theory, I'm kind of wondering which direction Michael Jackson went yesterday, up or down?.
