Apropos of Nothing, My Favorite Rolling Stones' Song

Classic rock radio can be good for something, by golly, such as reminding me of how much I love this particular Stones' song. Veteran KZOK DJ Scott Vanderpool tossed "Tumbling Dice" into one of his sets this weekend and I almost blew my car speakers out from cranking it so loudly. There's just something about the way he hangs on the "i" in "dice" for an eternity that makes my eyes water. There's nothing out there on Youtube as good as the original recorded version, but this clip from Martin Scorsese's Shine A Light is decent:

And just for Mr. Brian Barr, unofficial president of the Linda Rondstadt Is Crazy-Smoking Hot Club, here's her version, taken from the movie FM (which, incidentally, is mandatory viewing for radio DJs everywhere). She hangs out on the "i" for a spell as well, but in her own sex machine sort of way:
